Aims and Objectives
The aims and objectives of the charity are;
To provide for the public benefit in partnership with the Police, the protection of people and property from the prevention of criminal acts, in particular, by the encouragement of greater public participation in the prevention and detection of crime through the provision of education, informed and practical assistance in crime prevention to the community.
The Charity achieves this by;
Working in partnership with the Police, Local Authority and local communities. Developing crime prevention initiatives and fund raising on behalf of the charity to enable it to advance it's aims and objectives.
Specific aims are;

Support the proactive crime prevention initiatives in the community

Work in partnership with public, private and voluntary sectors

Educate the community in Crime Prevention methods

Promote Crime Prevention amongst young people by encouraging increased participation in youth projects that are community based

Produce a website promoting Crime Prevention advice and products to encourage self preventative measures
Specific methods are;

To develop a strategy that will focus on young people in problem areas targeting exclusion, anti-social behavior and equal opportunities within the community

To promote neighbourhood watch by means of the "ringmaster" system and to involve the voluntary sector in promoting and encouraging other agencies to be involved in community based projects

By using the knowledge together with skills and expertise of members of the panel in networking with local companies to encourage them to support initiatives that are promoted by the panel by means of charitable donations and facilities that can be useful to both the general and business community

To develop initiatives through neighbourhood watch and other voluntary sector organisations with opportunities to participate in projects that will encourage young people to develop a culture that will lead to practical initiatives in ares such as, sport, education and skilled development

To produce promotional website for the Stockton-on-Tees area and wider audience that will encourage individuals to take ownership of their own security measures at home and in business
The Charity operates as a limited company by guarantee with charitable status and operates with volunteers who carry out the aims and objectives and policies set out by the trustees.
